Ariel

Ariel Aguilera is a multidisciplinary communication designer, art director, educator, and researcher based in Melbourne. He is the Director and Founding Principal of Pandarosa, a design studio specialising in art direction, branding, surface and architectural graphics, illustration, and large-scale mural artworks.

His practice spans branding, experience design, research, publications, and the design of PhD dissertations, bringing together strategic thinking, visual communication, and a strong commitment to collaboration. Ariel’s work is driven by curiosity and a belief that thoughtful design can communicate complex ideas with clarity, purpose, and impact.

Alongside his professional practice, Ariel has extensive experience as a tertiary educator, having taught at leading institutions in Australia and internationally, including RMIT University, Monash University, Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London), and California State University, Fullerton. He is passionate about design education and fostering open dialogue, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.

Outside the studio and classroom, Ariel is rarely far from a good coffee or a playlist of new music. He enjoys exchanging ideas and expanding perspectives through conversation and collaboration.
